A superb Georgian mahogany tilt-top table dating from the late 18th / early 19th Century. It has a circular one-piece mahogany top standing on a turned baluster support with tripod splayed legs and pad feet. It has a lovely rich colour and is strong and sturdy with a good level top and its original blacksmith-made latch. The tilting mechanism is smooth with a strong catch.
It is in good condition for its age and displays beautifully. There are some minor signs of age and use, a few small surface marks, old stains and light knocks but nothing detrimental and there are no major damages. It has been gently polished and is ready for use.
