A good example of an early 19th Century Tea Caddy. It is made from mahogany with a beautiful colour and grain and a brass escutcheon. It has two lidded compartments with turned knobs and and a central compartment which would have once contained a mixing bowl. The inside of the lid is lined with pretty decorative paper.
It is in very good condition for its age. The inside is clean and tidy and the exterior has a rich patina. There are some minor signs of age and use but no major damages or anything detrimental. It has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
