Product Details

A fine example of an early 19th Century Tea Caddy. It is made from mahogany with a beautiful colour and grain and edged with boxwood stringing. It stands on four ball feet and it has a small brass carrying handle. It has two lidded compartments with turned knobs and both have been recently re-lined. It also comes complete with a glass mixing bowl. The inside of the lid is lined with lovely old red velvet with a tooled edge. The box comes with its original working key.

It is in very good condition for its age. The inside is clean and tidy and the exterior has a rich patina. The glass bowl is undamaged with a lovely ring to it. There are some minor signs of age and use but no major damages or anything detrimental. It has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
