Product Details

A fabulous mahogany cupboard dating from the late 18th / early 19th century. It has large brass carrying handles on the side with a door enclosing 6 small drawers. Each drawer has a small brass knob and it comes with a working key. It is fantastic quality with lovely rich timbers and fine hand-cut dovetail joints.

The interior is similar to that of a spice cupboard but it could have also been used as a document or estate cupboard. The quality and the carrying handles could also mean it was a military piece.

It is in good original condition with a wonderful patina. There are signs of age and use, some small chips and knocks and surface marks but no major damages and overall it displays very well. It has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
