A good example of a Georgian mahogany Demi-Lune tea table dating from the late 18th / early 19th Century. It has good quality chamfered tapering legs and a pretty boxwood strung border around the apron and the top. Both rear legs swing out to support the hinged fold-over top.
It is in excellent condition for its age and displays well with a nice rich colour. The interior of the table is flat and has a lovely grain. There are signs of age and use, some light surface marks and some old repairs to the legs but nothing untoward or detrimental. There are some minor signs of historic worm which has all been treated as a precaution and hasn't affected the piece structurally or aesthetically. The table is strong and sturdy, it has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
