A good quality mahogany chest of drawers dating from the early 19th Century. It has an unusual arrangement of 3 small drawers over 3 long drawers and each drawer has turned wooden knobs apart from the central one which is opened with a key. The chest stands on bracket feet with a nice moulded edge around the top.
They are in good condition for their age and display well. They have been cleaned and polished and have a lovely rich colour and good patina. There are signs of age and use, some light marks and knocks and a couple of old repairs but no major damages or anything detrimental. The feet have been replaced at some point in its life and the key does not lock the drawer. The drawers themselves are clean and tidy inside and all open smoothly.
