A beautiful Georgian mahogany chest of drawers dating from the late 18th / early 19th Century. The drawers have brass swan neck handles and the chest stands on small shaped bracket feet.
It is excellent quality, very well made and in good original condition with a rich patina. There are some minor shrinkage splits to the side panels, some minor knocks to the cock-beading and general signs of age and use but nothing detrimental. The handles have been changed at some point but are in keeping with the age of the chest. The drawers are clean and tidy inside and all open well, having had the runners recently repaired or replaced. The back is sturdy and it is a good solid chest of drawers that display beautifully.
