An elegant mahogany side table with an attractive bow front dating from the early 19th Century. It has an arrangement of three drawers each with small brass knobs. It stands on delicate square tapering legs with its original brass cup castors.
It is a good quality piece with a strung border below the drawers and a reeded edge around the top. It is the perfect size for a side table or a small desk or dressing table.
It is in very good condition for its age. The oak lined drawers open well and are generally clean and tidy inside. The handle on the middle drawer has been replaced at some point but is a good match for the others. There are signs of age and use, some marks and light knocks around the legs and various old marks and stains on the top surface but nothing that we feel is detrimental and it has a lovely patina. There have been a few repairs to the strung border and the locks are missing from the drawers but the table is strong and sturdy and displays well. It has been lightly cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
