circa 1800
A lovely Georgian mahogany chest of drawers dating from the late 18th / early 19th century. They have three long drawers with the original brass swan neck handles below a gentleman's brushing slide and are set on tall bracket feet.
The chest is in excellent condition and is a sturdy piece that has been well made and well looked after. The oak lined drawers are generally clean and tidy and open well, having recently had the runners repaired. The colour is wonderful with a deep rich patina. It is not without a few small surface marks and signs of age and use and some minor shrinkage splits in the side panels but nothing detrimental. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use
