A lovely tilt-top table dating from the late 18th / early 19th Century. It is a good size with a circular Elm top set on an oak base with turned column and nicely shaped tripod splayed legs. The elm has developed a lovely warm colour and patina and it has its original blacksmith-made closing latch.
It is in very good condition for its age and is strong and sturdy. There are signs of age and use, a few marks and minor stains on the top surface but no major damages or anything detrimental. The whole piece has a beautiful rich patina and is a lovely honest piece of country furniture.
