A lovely country side table dating from the early 19th Century. It is made from elm and stands on square tapering legs with an overhanging top and a single drawer. The drawer has two turned wooden knobs and a moulded border. It is a good quality piece and the elm has a lovely warm colour and wonderful grain.
It is in good condition and is strong and sturdy with a lovely patina. There are normal signs of age and use, some light knocks and surface marks but nothing detrimental and overall it displays well. The table has suffered from worm at some point in its life and there are various areas showing old holes but it has all been treated as a precaution and it hasn't affected the table structurally or aesthetically. It has been lightly cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
