A good quality Georgian wall cupboard dating from the late 18th / early 19th century. It is made entirely of elm with the most wonderful patina and colour. The cupboard has two panelled doors which open to a simple shelved interior with two small drawers below. The drawers have inset brass ring handles in order to be flush with the doors.
There are three metal hanging brackets on the back of the cupboard but it could also be used just as well sat atop a desk or sideboard.
It is in good original condition and comes with its original working key. There are some signs of age and use and the internal shelf is wonderfully warped but there are no major damages and overall it displays very well. There are signs of historic worm, particularly in the back boards, which have all been treated as a precaution and haven't affected the piece structurally or aesthetically. It has been cleaned and given a light polish and is ready for use.
