A lovely example of a Georgian patch box dating from the late 18th Century. It is decorated in a blue tight check pattern, almost like gingham, with pretty a pretty pink and yellow floral border. The interior is white and there is a mirror under the lid.
It is in very good condition for its age. There are signs of age and use but no major damages to the exterior and the decoration is all in good condition. There is some internal crazing and some age spots across the mirror but otherwise it displays beautifully.
