Product Details

A superb example of a small Serpentine chest of drawers dating from the late 18th century. They have three long drawers, each with their original brass plate handles and they stand on sweeping bracket feet. They are excellent quality with solid oak lined drawers, flame mahogany drawer fronts and of course the beautiful serpentine shape.

They are in very good condition for their age and are strong and sturdy. The drawers open smoothly and are generally clean and tidy inside. They have developed a wonderful rich patina with no major damages. They have picked up a few small knocks and marks, one particular small mark on the top (see photo) and a couple of minor chips on the bottom edge but nothing detrimental or untoward. They have been cleaned and gently polished and are ready for use.
