Product Details

A superb quality mahogany drop-leaf dining table dating from the early 19th Century. It is a simple design with square chamfered legs. The quality of the timber is superb and the edges are nicely moulded with rounded corners, differentiating it from the gateleg tables of a larger D-end table.

With both leaves extended it makes a large dining table, comfortably seating 6-8 people.

It is in good condition for its age and is strong and sturdy. The top has been polished and it has a wonderful patina showing years of use with some marks and knocks but nothing detrimental. Although there is some slight colour differentiation on the leaves the figuring of the timbers is beautiful and the whole piece displays very well.
