Lovely example of an upholstered tub chair dating from the late 19th / early 20th century. It is a pretty shape with an exposed wooden frame, carved supports and it sits on turned front legs with brass castors. The chair has been recently upholstered in a good quality off-white fabric with matching piping that compliments the chair.
The chair is in good overall condition and has been well looked after. It is strong and sturdy with no major damages. The castors are not original but they suit the chair and move well. It has a good firm and comfortable seat. There are some general marks and small knocks around the legs but nothing detrimental. There are some minor signs of historic worm which has all been treated as a precaution and hasn't affected the chair structurally or aesthetically.
