A good example of an Edwardian double stamp box with a solid silver frame and leather base. It is a sloped design to make the stamps easier to access and the lid has a half penny and one penny stamp within the frames.
It is clearly hallmarked for Birmingham, 1902 and E.S.Barnsley & Co.
It is in good condition for its age. There are no major damages and it displays well. The are signs of age and use and some wear and minor losses to the leather around the corners and edges and some faint surface marks on the silver frame but nothing detrimental. It has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
