A good Queen Anne style armchair dating from the early 20th Century. It has small proportions but is a very comfortable chair. It has an elegant shape and stands on cabriole front legs with carved shell motifs and hoof feet.
The chair has been recently upholstered in a good quality yellow velvet that compliments the chair well.
It is in good condition and is strong and sturdy. There are a few general marks and small knocks around the legs but nothing detrimental. The upholstery is not brand new and there are light signs of wear and use but nothing untoward. It looks clean and fresh and is perfectly usable as it is or will serve as a good solid frame for recovering.
The chair stands approximately 38" (97cm) high, 27" (69cm) deep and arm to arm the chair is 25 1/2" (65cm) wide. The seat is 19" (48cm) deep and 21" (53cm) high including the cushion.
