Product Details

A lovely oak shaving or vanity mirror dating from the late 19th / early 20th century. The mirror itself is set in a round oak frame and the brass support rod can be adjusted in height and tightened in place by using the brass screw. The mirror itself also tilts and the angle can be adjusted by the screw on the back. There is a useful shelf below the mirror and it stands on a turned support with tripod legs.

It is an excellent quality piece and the oak has developed a lovely rich colour. The mirror has its original plate with a lovely patina and a few small age spots.

The whole piece is in good original condition with no major damages. There are various small marks, knocks and signs of use and age but nothing detrimental or untoward. There are a few minor old shrinkage splits but the whole piece is strong and sturdy. It has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
