Product Details

A good quality country house armchair dating from the early 20th century. It has a generous deep seat with round arms and a scroll top back. It stands on turned front legs with its original ceramic "Cope and Collinson” castors.

It is excellent quality and is extremely comfortable with a sprung seat and sprung back. It has been traditionally reupholstered incorporating the original panels into new velvet material with matching braid.

The chair is in very good condition and is strong and sturdy. There are a few general marks and small knocks around the legs and it is believed that one front leg may have been replaced at some point as one is oak and one is mahogany but they are a very good match and it isn't detrimental. The upholstery is not brand new and there are some light signs of wear and use but it has been protected with a loose cover so it has remained in very good condition.

The chair stands approximately 37" (94cm) high, 35" (89cm) deep and arm to arm the chair is 33" (84cm) wide. The seat is 22" (56cm) deep and 15" (38cm) high.
