A nice example of a small tabletop collectors chest of 6 drawers dating from the early to mid 20th Century. It is made of stained hardwood and the drawers have small wooden knobs. There is an additional flat pull out surface below the drawers. It would have likely been used as a specimen / collectors chest and the narrow drawers would suit coins or medals but would also make a lovely jewellery box or stationery cabinet.
It is in good condition for its age and has been well made and well looked after. The drawers are generally clean and tidy, although the interior has been painted in a few of the drawers at some point. There are some minor signs of age and use, some light surface marks and knocks but nothing detrimental and overall the piece displays beautifully. It has been cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
