Iconic jug designed by Clarice Cliff in the 1930s. It is in the popular 'Athens' shape and decorated in the 'Rhodanthe' pattern. It is marked on the underside "Hand painted. Bizarre by Clarice Cliff. Wilkinson Ltd England"

It is in excellent condition for its age. The colours have remained bright and vibrant and the piece has been well looked after without suffering any damages or major paint losses. There is a small mark on the underside rim, probably a firing flaw, just pointed out for completeness (see photo).
