Good example of an early 20th Century standard lamp with painted gilded Chinoiserie design on a black ground. It is made of wood with a turned tapering design on a heavy weighted base with small bun feet.
It has been rewired to modern standards to take a standard bayonet bulb and is in working order with a valid PAT test certificate.
The lamp is in good condition with some minor signs of age and wear and some losses and wear to the paint in places but nothing detrimental. There are signs of historic worm which has all been treated and has not affected the lamp. It is strong and sturdy and displays beautifully.
