A good example of an unusual Arts and Crafts style Windsor chair dating from the late 19th / early 20th century. It has a thick round shaped seat, a tall back supported by tapering spindles joined by a flat top rail. It has two shaped arms supported by spindles and it stands on four turned legs joined by a H-stretcher.
The chair stands approximately 43" (109cm) high and it is 26" (66cm) wide across the arms. The seat is 23" (59cm) deep and 17" (43cm) high.
It is in good original condition with a nice colour. It is strong and sturdy with no signs of worm or any major damages. There are signs of age and use, some marks and light knocks on the seat and around the legs but nothing detrimental. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
