A good quality arts and crafts style oak coal bin dating from circa 1900. The front is decorated with a pretty carved floral panel and it has a copper handle. The front pulls down to reveal its original metal liner inside. It is an attractive square shape with plinth top and the oak has a nice rich colour.
It is in good condition for its age and displays well. There are some signs of age and use, some wear, minor marks and knocks and an old shrinkage split on the top but nothing untoward or detrimental. There are two small marks on the back where it would have once had a handle or a section to hold a shovel which has at some point been removed. It has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
