Lovely pair of vintage bookends set on marble bases, dating from the early 20th century. They are typically art deco in style and show two seated dogs, cast in spelter.

They are in good condition for their age. The marble bases have a few very small nibbles around the corners as to be expected with age but they display very nicely. The spelter has a few small surface scratches but nothing major and they have a good aged patina and a lovely colour. There is no damage on either apart from a small hole in the belly of one dog where the spelter has worn (see photo) but it is barely visible and does not detract from the overall appeal.
