A lovely old cash till dating from the early to mid 20th Century. It is a good quality item made of solid wood with a brass cup handle on the drawer and matching brass escutcheon. It is a very pretty decorative piece - great for a shop. I do not have the keys, but it comes with a till roll which turns as the drawer is open and closed. The inner mechanisms look to be complete and the drawer runs smoothly. It has its bell however it does not 'ding'.
It is in good condition and has clearly been well looked after. The wood has a nice aged patina and inside it is clean and tidy. It is not without some minor knocks and scuffs which add to its age and character but there is no major damage. It has been cleaned and the brass parts lightly polished and it displays very nicely.
