A good example of an antique Windsor Bar-Back carver chair dating from the mid to late 19th century. It has a shaped elm seat with curved arms supported by turned spindles. It has a curved back with central turned bar and stands on turned legs joined by a H-stretcher.

The rear of the seat is stamped with the maker's initials D.H and '69'.

The chair stands approximately 34" (86cm) high. It is 23" (58.5cm) wide across the arms and 22" (56cm) deep. The seat is 17" (43cm) deep and 16" (41cm) high.

It is in good original condition and is strong and sturdy with no signs of worm or any major damages. There are signs of age and use and some marks and light scratches on the seat and around the legs but nothing detrimental. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
