A lovely walnut open bookcase dating from the late 19th Century. It is a simple design set on a plinth base with reeded columns flanking the open front. It has two shelves with matching reeded detail on the fronts. The position of the shelves are adjustable and there are side holders that can be moved up and down on grooves.
It is in good condition for its age and displays well. The walnut has developed a wonderful mellow aged patina. It is not without some small knocks and marks and minor chips around the base (see photos) but nothing detrimental. It has been cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
