A very nice example of a genuine military issue WW1 era pocket compass. The compass is in a metal pocket watch style case with a fob ring. The case is stamped "Dennison Birmingham. VI. 37661. 1917".
It opens up to reveal the compass dial inside, protected by a glass face.
The compass is in good condition for its age. The case has picked up signs of age and use and some small dents, dinks and surface scratches but no major damages and the glass is in good condition. The dial is clean and clear to read. It displays very nicely and it appears to be in working order although I cannot say for sure how accurate it is.
