A fine example of a Victorian Sterling Silver jam spoon with a distinctive shovel shaped spoon. It has an ornate handle, engraved with a 'H' and the spoon head itself is beautifully engraved with a border and floral design.
The spoon is good quality, weighing approximately 21g. It measures approximately 5" (13cm) long and the end is 1 1/4 (3cm) wide.
It is fully hallmarked for Joseph Gloster, Birmingham, 1895.
It is in good condition with a clear hallmark. There are no major damages and it displays beautifully. There are some faint surface scratches and a few light marks and minor dinks but nothing detrimental. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
