A fine example of a Victorian silver capstan inkwell. It has a glass liner with star-cut base. The lid is engraved and dated "H.H. from L.C.B 1894-1897". It is a stylish good quality piece by top maker Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co and is clearly hallmarked for London 1897.
It is in very good condition. There are no major damages and it displays beautifully. There are some faint surface marks and a few light scratches and minor dinks but nothing detrimental. It has been gently cleaned and polished is ready for use.
