A superb mid Victorian hall chair in the Gothic Revival style. It is made of oak with a carved back panel, turned tapering front legs and sabre splayed rear legs.
It is in excellent condition for its age and has a lovely rich colour. There are signs of age and use and some minor old splits and marks but nothing detrimental. It is a good sturdy chair and it displays very nicely.
The chair stands approximately 36" (92cm) high, the seat is 14" (36cm) deep and 17" (43cm) wide.
