A lovely pine storage cupboard dating from the late 19th / early 20th Century. It has a shelved interior and comes with its original working key. The doors are panelled and it sits on a simple plinth base with large holes drilled in the front, likely done at some point to prevent it becoming damp. It has good narrow proportions and would make a great larder cupboard or linen cupboard.
It is in good condition and has mellowed to an attractive colour over the years. It has been cleaned and given a smooth waxed finish, retaining its lovely aged patina. The shelves inside are generally clean and tidy although the top shelf is a later replacement to the rest. There are some signs of age and use, some marks and stains on the top, some old splits and marks on the sides and the hinges have been repaired at some point but nothing untoward or detrimental. It displays very nicely as a rustic country piece of furniture and is ready for use.
