Beautiful example of a Victorian child's high chair. It is made in beech with a cane seat and turned legs. The gently arched top rail has elegant serpentine-curved lathes beneath. The stretcher uniting the two front legs is worn on the top through many years of tiny feet resting on the top of them. The chair is sturdy and structurally sound with a beautiful original finish and a rich colour and patina. The cane is in excellent undamaged condition.
The chair stands approximately 34" high and the seat is 13" deep by 14" wide.
