A fine example of a beautiful Inlaid box with Tunbridge ware banding dating from the late 19th Century. Most likely to have once been a sewing or trinket box it has now been relined with a beautiful fitted tray with silk lining and marbled paper. The tray lifts out to reveal an additional lined storage area below and it comes with a working key.
It is in good condition for its age and has been very well made and well looked after. There are some minor signs of age and use but nothing detrimental and overall the piece displays beautifully. It has been cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
