Fantastic clockwork boat dating from the early 20th Century. It is a stunning little boat made entirely of wood and beautifully crafted. It is full of details, complete with a metal anchor and a small wooden rowing boat. On the front of the boat it is marked 'Weston Super Mare'.
It has a clockwork motor which would run the propellor however I do not have a key for it.
It is not marked but I have had similar model boats which were made by Tri-ang and also marked for retail at Gamages.
The boat measures approximately 13" long and 4 1/2" wide and is 7" tall to the top of the chimney.
It is a very rare item and it is in lovely original condition. There are some small knocks and scuffs and some areas of paint loss but overall it displays well and these all add to its wonderful patina.
