A superb set of antique balance beam scales dating from the late 19th / early 20th Century. The beam is brass and the pans are made of glass, suspended by thick green cord. They also come with a set of small antique brass weights.
The scales come in their original wooden box with a metal catch to keep them closed.
The whole set is in good condition and displays very nicely. The box has a few small knocks and marks as to be expected. The scales have tarnished slightly over time and there are a few small nibbles around the pans but nothing detrimental. T
he whole set has been cleaned and lightly polished and are ready for display.
