A lovely small teak box dating from the late 19th / early 20th century. It is good quality with dovetail joints and a wonderful rich colour and grain. It has a single drawer and a hinged lid that opens to reveal a storage area. It was likely a military piece and has recessed brass carrying handles and a matching handle on the drawer.
It is in good condition for its age. It is strong and sturdy and generally clean and tidy inside. There are signs of age and use, some general knocks, marks and small chips on the edges but nothing detrimental. It has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
