A lovely folding teak chair dating from the early 20th Century. Chairs of this style were often used aboard boats and so are referred to as Steamer Chairs. It is a comfortable chair with a shaped slatted seat, a curved back and nicely shaped arms.
It is in good condition for its age and is a good quality piece. It is well made and folds smoothly. It has a nicely worn and aged patina with signs of use, some light marks and natural wear to the finish but nothing detrimental. There has been a repair to an old break below one arm (see photo) but the chair is strong and sturdy.
The chair stands approximately 37 1/2" (95cm) high and it is 22 1/2" (57cm) wide across the arms. It is approximately 29" (74cm) deep and the seat is 19" (48cm) wide and 16" (41cm) high.
