Product Details

A superb example of a stuffed and mounted Badger head dating from 1931. He has been well preserved and skilfully mounted on an oak shield. He has a snarling, alert expression with an open mouth and bright eyes. He is not a modern piece and is a genuine hunting trophy from East Stowford and is dated Sept 17th 1931.

The original Taxidermist's label is on the reverse of the shield "W.W.Rowe. 62 High Street, Barnstaple. North Devon".

He is in good condition for his age. His teeth and mouth have been beautifully modelled and are in good condition. His fur is generally thick and has retained a good colour. There are some patches underneath his neck that have worn a little bit thin and the tips of his ears (see photos) but overall the condition is good.
