Gorgeous original mannequin dating from the early 20th Century, on a wooden tripod base with original cloth cover. Originally used as a tailor's dummy or for shop display.
She is absolutely beautiful with a lovely silhouette and in excellent original condition. The cloth covering has picked up some marks and patches of discolouration over time and there is a very small tear on the front. There are some pencil marks which could be removed which read "Jennies Torso 1938".The wooden stand has a lovely aged patina which shows lots of use and handling and there is a metal bolt at the top of the stand which tightens the wooden support rod for the mannequin which can also be adjusted in height. It partly dismantles as shown in the pictures.
