A good example of a large antique surgeon's amputation knife dating from the late 19th / early 20th Century. It has a black handle with the makers name "Weiss, London" on it and good grips all around the handle.

It comes in its original fitted wooden box with hinged lid.

It is in good original condition. There are some age related marks, scuffs and the metal has tarnished over the years but there are no major damages. The box has some scuffs and knocks and one hook catch is missing but nothing detrimental.
