A lovely stripped pine sideboard dating from the early 20th Century. There are 7 drawers arranged around a central cupboard with a shelved interior. Each drawer has a turned wooden knob and the piece stands on turned bun feet. The knobs are not original but suit the piece well. The interior is generally clean and tidy and the drawers open smoothly.
It is in good condition and the pine has a nice warm colour. It has been cleaned and given a smooth waxed finish, retaining its lovely aged patina. There are signs of age and use, some marks and knocks here and there and a couple of old repairs but nothing untoward or detrimental. There are some signs of historic worm in places which has all been treated as a precaution and hasn't affected the piece structurally or aesthetically.
