A good antique pine blanket box dating from the late 19th / early 20th century. The pine has mellowed to a lovely warm colour and the box has brass carrying handles.
A good size for a coffee table, end of the bed storage or toy trunk.
It is in good condition for its age and displays well. It is strong and sturdy and generally clean and tidy inside. There have been some repairs and restoration and the handles aren't original but suit the piece well. There are signs of age and use, some general knocks and light marks but nothing detrimental. The box has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
