Product Details

A good example of an antique stick back farmhouse chair dating from the late 19th / early 20th century. It has a shaped elm seat with curved arms supported by turned spindles. It is high backed with narrow turned spindles standing on turned legs joined by a central stretcher.

The chair stands approximately 43" (109cm) high and 23" (58cm) wide. The seat is approximately 18" (46cm) deep and 18" (46cm) high.

It is in good original condition and has a lovely patina. There are signs of age and use and some marks and light knocks around the legs but nothing detrimental. There are some minor signs of old worm which has all been treated as a precaution and the chair is strong and sturdy. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
