A good example of an antique stick back farmhouse chair dating from the early 20th century. It has a shaped elm seat with curved arms supported by turned spindles. It is high backed with narrow spindles standing on turned legs joined by a central stretcher.
The chair stands approximately 40 1/2" (103cm) high. Arm to arm is 21" (53cm) wide and it is approximately 18" (46cm) deep. The seat is 17 1/2" (45cm) high.
It is in good original condition and is strong and sturdy. There are signs of age and use and some marks and light knocks around the legs but nothing detrimental. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
