A good example of an antique stick back farmhouse chair dating from the late 19th / early 20th century. It has a shaped elm seat with curved arms supported by turned spindles. It is high backed with narrow spindles standing on turned legs joined by a central stretcher.
The chair stands approximately 39 1/2" (100cm) high and is 22 1/2" (57cm) wide across the arms. The seat is 17 1/2" (44.5cm) high and 17 1/4" (44cm) deep.
It is in good original condition and displays well. There are signs of age and use and some marks and light knocks around the legs but nothing detrimental. There has been an old repair to one arm but it is strong and sturdy. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
