A nice example of a small tabletop chest of 6 drawers dating from the late 19th / early 20th Century. It is made of stained pine and the drawers have small brass knobs. It would have likely originally been used in a jewellers workshop and one drawer has 'silver solder' written in the base. Now it would make a lovely specimen / collectors chest or even a jewellery box or stationery cabinet.
It is in good condition for its age and has been well made and well looked after. The drawers are generally clean and tidy. There are some signs of age and use, surface marks and knocks and an old shrinkage split in the top but nothing detrimental and overall the piece displays beautifully. It has been cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
