A fine example of an antique solid silver twin handled bowl with 16 short edges giving a lovely ribbed detail to the interior. It has a pretty engraved rim and scrolling handles. It is stylish and good quality and weighs approximately 143g.
It is hallmarked for Birmingham, 1928. The maker's mark is slightly worn so I can't quite make it out.
It is in good condition for its age. There is a small dink on the rim of the foot (see photo) and a few surface scratches on the interior of the bowl but otherwise no major damages and it displays well. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
